ACW Tag Champions The Now Face Sent 2 Slaughter in Steel Cage at Reckoning
Awesome Championship Wrestling returns to the MJN Center in Poughkeepsie, New York, on Saturday for its Reckoning event, headlined by a steel cage match for the tag team titles. Champions Vik Dalishus and Hale Collins, known as The Now, defend against rivals Danny Maff and Shawn Donovan of Sent 2 Slaughter. The bout aims to conclude a prolonged feud spanning multiple promotions.
The card features wrestlers from major organizations, including IWGP global heavyweight champion Andrade, NWA world historic middleweight champion Flip Gordon, ACW women's champion Steph De Lander, TNA's Indi Hartwell, MLW's Lady Frost, and independents Richard Holliday and Ben Bishop. Dalishus and Collins, who promote ACW, described the rivalry as personal after Sent 2 Slaughter disrupted Dalishus's wedding and Collins's Hall of Fame ceremony at Johnny Rodz’s wrestling school. A prior cage match saw their manager Josh Shernoff betray them.
ACW launched its first show in January 2025 at the MJN Center, a venue with wrestling history including WWF, WWE, NXT, TNA, and ECW events. The promotion has grown attendance through professional production, a YouTube series, and partnerships, filling a gap in regional shows with television stars.
Reckoning includes inductions of "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Mike Bell into the MJN Center’s Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. Dalishus and Collins eye expansion, including touring other markets while maintaining their home base.
